While I was pregnant with my first child, I spent a lot of time researching the latest trends for babies. I discovered Modern Cloth nappies and decided to try them. I bought 8 of a particular brand and once my baby was born it was disappointing to find that they leaked badly (especially poo’s) and they cut into bubs legs, leaving a harsh mark. I did however love the idea of cloth nappies and everything they stand for.
I decided to have a go at making my own and, was excited to find that they actually worked, reduced carbon emissions, and land fill plus they saved us from purchasing the many disposables usually added to our groceries each week!
I made enough for my son and it wasn’t until I was almost due to have our second child that I stumbled upon Sewy Joey’s Modern Cloth nappies. A couple of months after purchasing some nappies from Sewy Joey’s, the business came up for sale! I had been looking for a small business to run from home for quite some time! I soon fell in love with Sewy Joeys 
So I guess it was meant to be!
I would like to take this opportunity to say what a wonderful job Lindy and Denise (the founders and previous owners of Sewy Joey’s) have done. They developed the patterns from scratch and put a lot of hard work into getting Sewy's Joey's reputation to where it is now.
My dream is to continue supplying people with beautiful, stylish and practical modern cloth nappies!
I believe Modern Cloth nappies are going to be an important part of all of our futures and the generations to come!
